Rector of Auchi Polytechnic, Dr Salisu Shehu Umar has said that polymer engineering technology remains a vital component of any society that desires growth.
He spoke when he received in audience in his office the National President of Polymer Institute of Nigeria, Professor Emmanuel Osabohien, in company with key officers of the Institute.
Dr Umar stated that this accounted for the amount of resources both human and material Auchi Polytechnic had committed to the Department of Polymer Engineering Technology.
According to him: “It is as a result of this keen interest, that we as an institution seek more collaborations with the Polymer Institute of Nigeria in order to break new grounds in research and education in all aspects of Polymer Engineering and Technology thus enhancing the quality of our products.
“We pledge to continue to support the institute in its drive to promote the development of Polymer Science, Engineering and Technology application across Polymer and allied industries in Nigeria.
“I also want to congratulate the institute in its forthcoming National Conference which holds in Warri on the 9th of November, 2022.
“I am sure the conference will be a huge success. We will continue to support the Institute to grow the District in Auchi Polytechnic.”
