The Lagos Police Command has handed down a fresh warning to organisers of #EndSARS gatherings in the state not to resume their protests.

The State Police Command’s warning came ahead of the plan by the #EndSARS protesters to once again hit the streets in some designated locations on Monday, December 7, 2020.

The State Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said in a statement that “unpatriotic individuals and groups are planning to embark on the replica of recent violent EndSARS protest.”

According to him, intelligence report had revealed that the sponsors planned to lure unsuspecting members of the public, especially youths, to join in the protests.

“Lagos State Police Command therefore warns those who might want to disguise under End SARS protest to cause another set of mayhem in the state, to desist from such plans.”

The Police stated that they and other agencies would not fold their arms and allow another anarchy to be unleashed in the state.

The command urged parents and guardians to discourage their children and wards against protests, warning that “any unlawful gathering, procession or protest will be suppressed professionally in accordance with the provisions of the law.:

Meanwhile, residents have been urged by the Police Command to go about their lawful activities as its men would ensure the maintenance of law and order in the State.
