The Imo State Police Command has released detained former governor of the state, Senator Rochas Okorocha.
Spokesperson, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the released of the embattled Okorocha on Channels Television.
Ikeokwu said Okorocha was released Sunday night.
The release came on the heels of his (Okorocha’s) telephone interview with Television Continental (TVC) about 11 pm.
Okorocha had confirmed his arrest, the manner it was carried out and his detention in the interview with TVC .
Ikeokwu said “He was released later at night (Sunday)…If anybody is found culpable, definitely, he will be charged to court.”
He continued: “If investigation proves that he has committed an offence, he will be charged to court.”
