Edo State Police Command said it had recovered a 12-year-old boy suspected to have been missing.
In a press release signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the dark-complexioned boy was found at the 5-Junction area, on Uselu /Lagos Road, Benin city by a kind-hearted Nigerian and taken to Textile Mill Police Station, Benin city.
The child, Master Prosper Odiase, who speaks English and Benin languages told the police that he lived with a woman on Sapele road, Benin city but could not locate or identify the residence.
According to the press release, the Commissioner of Police, Edo state command, CP Mohammed A Dankwara, had directed the Police Public Relations Officer and the officers at the Command Control Room to disseminate the information of the found child to all Area Commands, Divisional Police Headquarters, Formations and the Media for identification and claims.
The Commissioner of Police appreciated the people of Edo State and the public for the existing cooperation, collaboration, and synergy among them so far and urged them to do more for a peaceful Edo State.
