The Oyo State Police Command has arrested seven suspects for the alleged murder of a 20-year-old Seidu Amisu at Budo Fatti area, Ofiki Village, over disagreement on issues relating to cattle rearing.
The Command’s spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Sunday.

Olayinka said three of the suspects had an altercation with the deceased over issues relating to cattle rearing, which escalated into a physical struggle, and one of the suspects allegedly beat the deceased to death with a stick.
“Upon realising that the victim had died, the suspects, in an attempt to conceal the crime, allegedly enlisted the assistance of four other suspects and secretly buried the victim without the knowledge of his family or the Police,” he said.
The PPRO said the Divisional Police Officer, Ago-Are Division, upon receipt of the complaint about the incident, embarked on an intelligence-led investigation that led to the arrest of all the seven suspects.
“The suspects who are currently in custody have confessed to the commission of the offence and are cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation,” Olayinka said.
Olayinka said the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Homicide Section, for thorough and discreet investigation.
