The Police in Ogun State have arrested a man, identified as Olubunmi Johnson, for allegedly setting his wife, Kikelomo, ablaze in their apartment on Fagbuyi Street, Ilogbo, in the Ota area of Ogun State.
A witness said that the incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, following a domestic dispute.
While the exact circumstances leading to the confrontation remained unclear as of press time, the spokesperson for the state police command, Omolola Odutola said that Johnson had been detained in connection with the crime.
Neighbour who witnessed the incident alerted the victim’s relatives, who then informed the police about the incident.
