The prosecutor, Insp. Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offences at about 2 a.m. on June 21 in Ado-Ekiti.

He urged the court to remand the defendants in the correctional centre, pending legal advice from the office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
The not guilty pleas of the defendants were not taken.
The Counsel for the defendants, Mr Oluwafemi Alabi, urged the court to grant the defendants bail, saying the offences were bailable.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted bail to the defendants in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties each in like sum.
