The ongoing Public hearing on Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) being conducted by the House Adhoc Committee on PIB Thursday suffered disruption after host communities took launched into free for all over some contentious issues.
The sitting was disrupted in the middle of submissions by some of the host communities.
The Host Communities of Nigeria Producing Oil and Gas (HOSTCOM) was about to make a presentation when a disagreement among the communities ensued leading to an exchange of blows.
Security operatives, however, intervened and calmed the situation.
The host communities promised to address the press on the issue later.
