The Esogban of Benin, Chief David Edebiri, who died on July 21, 2023 after a brief illness in a private hospital in Benin City, was buried at the weekend in Benin City.
The late Chief Edebiri was aged 93. He was born on September 2, 1929.
The creme de la creme of Edo society graced the burial reception, including, among others, former Governor of Edo State, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu, immediate past minister of state for budget and national planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, former Secretary to Edo State Government, and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
