Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, on Saturday, declared open the Weppa Wanno Pyramid Club of Nigeria 2021 Retreat, with the theme “Security Challenges In Our Communities; The Way Forward”.
He highlighted “the critical role budgeting plays in ensuring that the benefits of effective governance reach rural areas and measures put in place to improve the health of both rural and urban dwellers.%
He also reiterated the commitment of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration in ensuring that issues of rural development and its enablers continued to feature in the National Budget by way of support to subnational governments or direct interventions.
On the occasion, Prince Agba was received the Icon of Rural Development in Nigeria Award by the Weppa Wanno Pyramid Club Of Nigeria.
The prestigious award was conferred on him in recognition of his efforts in promoting community-driven development across Nigeria.
