The Osinbajo-themed popcorn and ice-cream stands have been spotted at the venue of the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
This is perhaps on response to the electioneering jab by the Director General of the Tinubu Campaign Organisation, Senator Kashim Shettima, who said that the Vice president was too gentle and would do well as ice cream and pop corn seller.
He further stated that Osinbajo who is nice could not make good leaders, because nice men tended to be nasty.
Shettima in his statement said, “Osinbajo is a good man; he’s a nice man. But nice men do not make good leaders, because nice men tend to be nasty. Nice men should be selling popcorn, and ice cream.”
He, however, apologised after much criticisms for likening the Vice -president to a popcorn and ice-cream seller.
The supporters of the Vice President on Tuesday set up popcorn and ice cream stands at the convention grounds with inscriptions such as “Osinbajo popcorn; serving goodness to all Nigerians, Osinbajo ice cream”.
Osinbajo is hoping to clinch the presidential ticket of the ruling party with a plan to continue the agenda of the current administration of which he is part.
