Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, received a courtesy visit on Tuesday from Civil Society Coalition working on aid and development effectiveness in Nigeria.
The ministry through the Department of International Co-operation co-ordinates and monitors the activities of development partners, aid-granting agencies and both local and international Non Governmental Organisations.
At the meeting, the Minister reiterated the need to have systems in place to monitor and promote effective development co-operation through building strong partnerships with all development actors.
He took the opportunity provided by the occasion to inaugurate a Task Force, which will ensure the coordination of development aid to Nigeria from the donor community and also improve civil society organization and citizens’ participation in aid and development effectiveness agenda of government and donors.
