The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, winner of last Saturday’s presidential election in Imo State.
Atiku’s running mate, Ifeanyi Okowa, is the governor of Delta State.
The results were announced by the Delta State Presidential Election Collation Officer (SCOPE), Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill of the University of Port-Harcourt, today, Tuesday, 28th February, 2023, at INEC’s Delta State Headquarters, Asaba.
LP garnered a total of 341,866 votes to defeat the PDP that polled 161,600 votes.
The APC clinched the third spot with 90,183 votes.
INEC also gave the total number of Registered Voters as 3,225,046 and Accredited Voters as 667,149.
It gave the total valid Votes as -615,342; rejected votes as -39,309 and total votes cast as-654,650.
