In a heartwarming development, the Kukawa community in Borno State has begun to flourish with peace and unity as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) return to their ancestral homes.

According to Chief Military Public Information Officer HQ MNJTF Ndjamena, Chad Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, the return of the IDPs was officially flagged off amid cheers and celebrations on Sunday, August 4, 2024 .

Honourable Karta Maina, representing Kukawa Constituency, alongside local leaders Chairman Alhaji Abba Fugu and District Head Alhaji Kachalla Mamman, led the ceremony.
