PDP tasks newly SWC in Ebonyi on e-registration of members

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged the newly elected State Working Committee (SWC) of the party in Ebonyi to ensure active participation of members in the ongoing e-registration of the party.

Mr Chidiebere Egwu, South-East National Vice Chairman of the party, gave the charge in Abakaliki on Tuesday, saying there was need to work as a team ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Egwu also urged the new executive to also work with the stakeholders at ensuring that every member was carried along towards rebuilding the party in the state and country at large.

“We must hit the ground running by ensuring that members of the party actively take part in the e-registration in line with the new electoral guidelines as prescribed by the Electoral Act 2025 which was recently signed into law,” he added.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that the party had on Saturday inaugurated its newly elected State Working Committee of the party led by Mr Chukwuma Igwe.

Other members of the new executive include: Mr Henry Ngonu as the state secretary; Elechi Ngwuta; Deputy Chairman, Kingsley Igwe; Treasurer, Okohue Nkaa, Legal Adviser, Chukwudi Goodluck; Organising Secretary, and Nnanna Emea Oji, Youth Leader.

Mrs Chinyere Nwele, Women Leader, Darlington Onwe, Publicity Secretary, Emmanuel Abraham, Financial Secretary, Francis Alegu, Auditor, Alhaji Idris Oken, Vice Chairman (Central), Ugochukwu Obasi (Vice Chairman, South) and Mrs. Nwojiji Chinazum (Vice Chairman, North) were also elected.
