A former Minister of Interior, Barrister Humphrey Abah, has called on Nigerians to remain hopeful and steadfast in their resolve for a better country.
Abah, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), expressed confidence that the party would soon regain power and restore the dignity of Nigeria and its people.

Abah disclosed that the PDP was undergoing serious cleansing and repositioning process, with high-level consultations and measures in place to checkmate further slips.
He said that the party’s structures across the country were still alive and active, and that the PDP remained the people’s party to beat.
Abah also expressed confidence in the leadership of Saminu Turaki, describing him as a seasoned politician and astute legal giant.
He noted that the ongoing consultation by the Turaki-led team “gives a fresh breath of hope and optimism for a better and glorious return in 2027.”
Abah urged members who were aggrieved to be open to dialogue and reconciliation, stressing that as a family, there were bound to be divergent views from family members.
He emphasised the need for a strong front of harmony, cohesion, and purpose, and called on members to put aside their differences and work towards a common goal.
Abah’s remarks have sparked optimism among PDP supporters, who believe that the party is poised to make a strong comeback in the 2027 general elections.
With its strong organic followership and presence in every nook and cranny of the country, the PDP is confident that it can rewrite history and redeem Nigerians, and usher in a new era of prosperity and progress.
