Former Governor of Ekiti and leading governorship aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, platform, Chief Segun Oni, has dismissed a purported story of crisis brewing in the ranks of PDP leadership in the Southwest involving Oyinlola, Makinde, Arapaja and himself.
In a statement, Director-General, Segun Oni’s Senior Management Team, Hon. Yemi Arokodare, said on behalf of Oni that the story was false, fictitious and malicious.
He said that the story was the handiwork of lie poachers and mischief-makers who wanted to profit from their own contrived goal of creating disenchantment.
“I am for the unity of the Southwest under the leadership of Gov. Seyi Makinde and we are working with Gov Makinde to resolve whatever problem there is.
“We believe that the party in the Southwest, under the leadership of Gov Makinde, has the capacity to resolve issues and come to an amicable conclusion.
“We are decent people, those trading in mischief will never succeed, and their evil intentions will fail,” Chief Segun Oni was quoted to have said in a statement issued by Arokodare.
He called on the public and party members to disregard the story as the figment of warped imagination.
