Parents of Nigerian students studying abroad on government scholarships on Monday blocked the entrance of the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja.
They are demanding the payment of outstanding allowances owed to their children.
According to the protesters, their children, who are on various bilateral education agreements and other scholarship schemes, have not received their stipends for 16 months, while an additional eight-month shortfall remains unsettled. [Daily Post]
