The gulf widened. The crisis got messier. And, the APC political family in Ekiti was caught in a sudden fit of convulsion as leaders continued on Friday to suspend one another.
Governor Kayode Fayemi was the latest casualty. Senators Tony Adeniyi and Babafemi Ojudu and nine other leaders had been suspended about 24 hours earlier.
The Adeniyi/Ojudu camp had replied with a suspension of the Governor in a clear massive fracturing of the party cohesion and factionalisation of the structure.
Not outdone, the govermor got his faction of the State Exco of the party to issue a query to the signatories of the document in which his suspension was announced.
The Executive Committee of APC, Ekiti State chapter, on Friday afternoon, a few hours after the suspension of the governor, issued a query to Senators Adeniyi, Ojudu, Dayo Adeyeye, and five others over the alleged suspension of the govermor from the party.
Reacting to the statement issued by Adeniyi/Ojudu’s faction the excos demanded the confirmation or denial of the said publication by the purported signatories.
