Following the review of the security situation in the Osun State, Governor Gboyega Oyetola has decided to relax the 24-hr curfew declared last Saturday to avert breakdown of law and order.
In a statement he personally signed, the Governor said effective from Thursday, October 29, the curfew would run from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am daily, until further notice.
According to him, “This means members of the public can now go about their activities between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm daily.”
The governor added that security operatives would however be on ground to enforce the new curfew directive, as part of efforts to maintain law & order across the State.
“I commend citizens and residents of Osun for their understanding & cooperation in the last few days.
“I urge you all to continue to be peaceful and law abiding.
As a government, we will continue to make efforts to protect the lives & property of our people,” he said.
