Living Faith Ministry, aka Winners Chapel founder, Bishop David Oyedepo, has shared a personal story about his early beginnings in ministry.
He did so to encourage his congregation to be content with their current circumstances and trust in God’s plans.
Speaking during a church programme, Oyedepo, said that there was a time during his early beginnings when he and his wife lived in the office building of the church and had to share a single toilet with other church members.
Reflecting on those humble beginnings, Bishop Oyedepo explained how he would wake up as early as 5 a.m. just to have his bath before the other church members arrived.
He described how, as the day broke, members of the church would also need to use the same toilet, so he had to plan his morning routine carefully to avoid the rush.
In spite of the challenges, the cleric underscored the importance of being joyful and content with whatever one had at any given time.
He used his experience as a lesson in humility and gratitude, encouraging his congregation to remain steadfast, no matter how difficult their present situation might seem.
“Be happy with what you have,” Bishop Oyedepo urged.
“The journey of life is a process, and God will always elevate those who are faithful and patient.”
Oyedepo is a multi-billionaire and propertied man of God, including private jets and Rolls Royce.
