Owo Church: Bishop Olubadejo condemns attack, commiserates with Gov. Akeredolu, Olowo, residents

The General Overseer of the Holy Ghost Assembly Worldwide, Bishop Sola Olubadejo has joined other well meaning Nigerian to condemn the attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, which left scores of worshippers dead during a Holy Mass on Pentecost Sunday.

Bishop Olubadejo, in a press statement issued and made available to newsmen in Osogbo on Monday, described the attack as vile, barbaric and callous, adding that there could never be any justification for the heinous behaviour of the assailants.

Bishop Olubadejo who was born in Owo town, commiserated with the Governor of Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), and the people of Ondo State over the sad incident.

The Clergy urged security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of the crime were apprehended and made to face the full wrath of the law, while also tasking the residents to remain vigilant.

The General Overseer in the statement urged the people of Owo town to remain calm and continue to be law abiding, saying the ugly incident was a sign of end time.

According to Bishop Olubadejo, “the perpetrators of this dastardly act should not go unpunished. I call on relevant security agencies in the state to spring into action and ensure that they are brought to book.

“My condolences go to the government, the Olowo of Owo Kingdom and paramount ruler of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, and good people of Ondo State as well as families that lost their loved ones in the carnage,” Bishop Olubadejo concluded.
