The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) says a total of 1,910,000 Nigerians have applied for various positions in its ongoing paramilitary recruitment exercise.
Data published on the board’s recruitment portal on Monday showed that the number far exceeds the 30,000 slots available across the agencies.
Kogi State recorded the highest number of applicants with 116,243, followed by Kaduna (114,599) and Benue (110,644).
Other top states include Kano (89,421), Niger (79,567), Kwara (78,467), Katsina (76,917), and Nasarawa (76,677).
In the lower range, Lagos had 14,221 applicants while Bayelsa recorded the fewest at 11,680.
The board said the shortlisting process is underway, and successful candidates will be contacted via email and SMS.
“Please monitor your email and text messages in the coming weeks for notifications,” it advised.
