Abia State Governor Alex Otti on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Otti’s meeting with Tinubu is believed to be part of ongoing engagements aimed at securing the release of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
The governor recently visited Kanu at the Sokoto correctional centre.
The visit came after Otti disclosed that he has been pursuing an agreed strategy to secure the release of Kanu, who was convicted of terrorism and sentenced to life imprisonment by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The governor had said he was working with well-meaning Nigerians committed to resolving the issue through diplomacy and dialogue with the federal government.

Ejimakor, who described Otti as “a man of his words”, appreciated the governor for fulfilling his promise to Kanu.
