Osun State Agency for the Control of AIDS, O-SACA, has invited residents of the state to the world’s AIDS day road walk which will come up on the 1st day of December 2020.
According to a press release, signed by the Executive Secretary of O’ SACA, Dr Monsur Bello and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the World’s AIDS Day celebration which is universally observed on the 1st day of every December as declared by the United Nations, UN, was meant to sensitize the populace and direct their attention to the multifaceted problems of HIV/AIDS and the need to sustain activities that would eradicate or minimize the pandemic.
The release stated that the universal theme for the Year 2020 World’s AIDS Day WAD, celebration was “Global Solidarity, a Shared Responsibility”.
The release noted that Osun State had been celebrating this important event since inception, adding that this year would not be an exception.
The release therefore enjoined all the stakeholders on AIDS/HIV to converge on the Osun Mall for the road walk by 8.00am, “which will terminate at the OSAMDO house along Gongan–Ibadan road, Osogbo.”
