The Osun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has reiterated its commitment to maintaining a friendly working relationship with all security agencies in the state to ensure a crime-free environment.
Comrade Wasiu Ajadosu, the Chairman of the NUJ Osun State Council, made this assurance during a courtesy visit with other members of the executive committee to the offices of the Commissioner of Police, Osun State Command, Mr. Kehinde Longe, and the Sector Commander, Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun State, Mr. Henry Benamaise.
Comrade Ajadosu emphasised the need for a robust working relationship between the two federal government agencies and media professionals to maintain a healthy society.
He promised adequate coverage of the agencies’ activities for effective performances.
The Commissioner of Police in his remarks expressed his appreciation for the symbiotic relationship between journalists and the police in the state, emphasising the need for continued collaboration to achieve a crime-free society.
He assured the journalists of his maximum support and an open-door policy.
Similarly, the Sector Commander, Federal Roads Safety Corps, Osun State, welcomed the executive committee of the NUJ to his office, highlighting the importance of journalists in propagating the FRSC’s activities in public awareness, sensitisation, and education of road users to reduce accidents.

He promised to strengthen the synergy between journalists and road safety officials for the overall benefit of the state.
The NUJ delegation included the Secretary, Osun State Council of the NUJ, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin, and other executive members.
