The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has reiterated its readiness to eliminate quackery in the private security companies in order to sanitise the system.
This was contained in a press statement issued by Adigun Daniel after a meeting with stakeholders of Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (AlPSPN) organised by the Private Guards Control department of Osun NSCDC at the Command headquarters.
Speaking on behalf of Osun NSCDC boss, Commandant Emmanuel Ocheja, the second in command, Deputy Commandant Atanda Ibrahim, enjoined the private guards operators to collaborate with NSCDC by providing accurate intelligence to the corps.
Atanda explained further that the prevailing Insecurity challenges in the country calls for everyone to be vigilant.
While addressing the stakeholders, the head of department of Private Guards Control in NSCDC, Osun Command, Deputy Commandant Awofade Olufemi said the private guards personnel would be trained on capacity building in information management and necessary operational strategy needed to tackle new security challenges in the country.
Awofade also said the corps will clampdown on all illegal security operators in the state. He stated further that companies that are yet to renew their licenses would be dealt with.
The chairperson of Association of Licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria in Osun state, Chief (Mrs) Mobola Odebode commended the corps for organising the stakeholders meeting, adding that the synergy between the association and NSCDC would continue.
