The Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Osogbo has upturned the victory of Governor Ademola Adeleke at the July 16th 2022 governorship polls.
These are the summations of the preliminary feelers reaching THE CONCLAVE news desk, wherein the tribunal cited over voting in some places.
Our reporter on ground in Osogbo has just filed in more detaiils.
He reported that while giving the majority judgement, the tribunal panel’s Chairman, Justice Tersea Kume declared the election null and void after deducting the votes that were challenged by APC candidate, Gboyega Oyetola.
He subsequently deducted the over-voting observed from the votes scored by the candidates and declared that Oyetola won the election, having polled 314, 921, while Adeleke’s score came down to 290, 266.
He however ordered the withdrawal of Certificate of Returns.
But the verdict is subject to appeal by Governor Adekeke.
