Osun State Deputy Governor, Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi has described MIKANO International Limited as a critical player in the energy sector in Nigeria as well as a dependable partner in Osun Project.
The Deputy Governor stated this on Tuesday while receiving and simultaneously commissioning 25 traffic stands from the representative of MIKANO International Limited, Mr. Salako Nurudeen, who represented the Chairman of the Company.
The Deputy Governor, who was represented by the Special Adviser to Mr Governor on Works and Transport, Hussein Toke Olaniyan, noted that the donation of traffic stands by MIKANO is another important intervention to complement the efforts of Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola in the area of transportation in the state.
The donation, according to Mr. Alabi,”will also strengthen the road system management and entrench sanity in the metropolis.”
The Deputy Governor used the occasion to commend MIKANO International for supporting the state government during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic by donating necessary relief materials.
He then charged other corporate bodies to emulate MIKANO in its constant and consistent social responsibility gestures, describing the organisation as a veritable ally in times of need.
Earlier, Olaniyan had described Mr Adegboyega Oyetola as a God sent leader.
He highlighted the various achievements of Governor Oyetola in the areas of road construction and infrastructure across the nooks and crannies of the state.
The Special Adviser, who appreciated the donor for extending their business relations to the state of Osun, said that the gesture will go a long way in concretising business relationship between the State Government and the Company.
While further stressing that the donated stands will enhance the job of traffic officers, the Special Adviser advised motorists to comply with all the traffic laws in order to avert road crashes.
