The Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) nationwide on Sunday congratulated the Governor-elect of Osun State, Sen Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke on his victory at the just concluded Osun governorship race.
The group in a statement by its coordinator, Funmiso Babarinde, described the victory as a result of resilience and determination of the Osun electorate.
Babarinde said: “As predicted after Ekiti election loss by PDP, we can now say a big thank you to Osun electorate, who despite being intimidated and harassed by huge vote buying, remained determined and voted for their conscience.
“The people have voted for a government with a human face and the PDP and our candidate, Sen Ademola Adeleke will not disappoint them in years to come.
“With two states in the kitty in southwest for PDP, we are looking forward as a campaign organisation for Atiku to working with the party again to win Lagos and Ogun come general elections in 2023.
“It is crystal clear now that the PDP means business and is well noted that the national and the zonal Leaders of our great party are in touch with the reality of our time and on our path, will not relent in mobilising for the party and in creating a good synergy with electorate to have unprecedented dividends.
“With the richly deserves return of people’s government to Osun State, we are more than confident now that the days are ahead are bright and prepared to vote for Atiku and other candidates of PDP in 2023. PDP will make Nigeria again.”
