As the July 16 governorship election in Osun State inches closer, the Special Adviser to the State Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola on Project Monitoring, Hon Lamidi Shittu Omoloye on Saturday called on the electorate to protect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

Hon Omoloye made this call in Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government area of the state during a book launch at Orimolade Commercial Grammar School.

The Ikirun-born politician who appealed to the electorate not to allow any individual to deceive them with ‘fake promises’ to steal their PVCs from them noted that the strength of the electorate was their PVCs, urged them to jealously guard them and desist from selling to desperate politicians.

Hon Omoloye who advised the entire people of the state to continue to demonstrate their complete support to Governor Oyetola for him to return to the office said his development projects was an indication of his total victory during the election.

The Special Adviser who urged the people of the state not to forment trouble and be law abiding before, during and after the election, said Governor Oyetola had done well towards the transformation of all and sundry, saying the only avenue to pay him back was to demonstrate highest support to his second term agenda for him to continue the good job.

According to Hon Omoloye, “Governor Oyetola has been tested, he has not been found wanting in all ramifications and his efforts in transforming the entire state cannot be over emphasised with series of developmental projects which is adding glamour to the state completely.

“In every atmosphere of peace, there must be total developments, this is what we are witnessing in Osun State today as there is protection of life and property, adequate security in every nook and cranny of the state, all these is done by the amiable Mr Governor, so I recommend him for second term in office for him to complete the good work to the people.”
