Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Comrade Adams Aliyu Eric Oshiomhole, has called on his constituents to remain steadfast and optimistic as the world steps into the year 2026, noting that recent developments show that the sacrifices of Nigerians are beginning to yield positive results.
In a New Year message to the people of Edo North, Oshiomhole congratulated residents on making it into the new year and expressed hope that 2026 would be better than the year just ended.
He observed that it was worthy of note that Nigerians enjoyed a festive season without scarcity of petroleum products, adding that fuel prices dropped shortly before Christmas and remained stable throughout the holiday period.
The former NLC President, Edo State Governor and National Chairman of APC also noted the relative stability in the country during the yuletide season, pointing out that there were no screaming headlines of widespread security challenges and no sudden hikes in the prices of goods and services.
According to him, these modest but significant gains are clear indicators that the nation is gradually turning a corner.
Oshiomhole said the renewed sense of hope among Nigerians must be sustained, stressing that the country is currently under the leadership of a “competent, tested and trusted captain,” capable of steering the nation through long-standing challenges that have slowed development for decades.
Reaffirming his commitment to his constituents, the senator assured the people of Edo North that he would continue to be a strong and consistent voice for them at the National Assembly.
He pledged to advocate vigorously on their behalf and to ensure that the dividends of democracy are visible across the senatorial district through policies and interventions that uplift communities and improve living standards.
As the new year unfolds, Oshiomhole prayed for God’s continued guidance and grace for the people of Edo North, expressing confidence that 2026 would usher in greater peace, progress and prosperity for the district and the nation at large.
