Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the Senator representing Edo North and former governor of Edo State, has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of Chief (Lady) Monica Alimikhena, the Iyi-Iyase of Weppa-Wanno Kingdom.
In a condolence message conveyed through his Chief media aide, Victor Oshioke, Oshiomhole paid tributes to Lady Monica as a woman of great virtue.
He emphasized her unwavering support for her husband and her invaluable role as his trusted advisor.
Oshiomhole also highlighted Lady Monica’s dedication to advocating for the empowerment of rural women and her selfless commitment to community causes.
He acknowledged the deep bond between Lady Monica and her husband, Senator Francis Alimikhena, recognizing the profound impact her loss would have on the family.
While acknowledging the incomprehensible nature of her untimely passing, Oshiomhole urged Lady Monica’s family to find solace in their Christian faith, which holds the promise of resurrection.
He extended his condolences, on behalf of his own family, to both the immediate and extended Alimikhena family, the Weppa-Wanno Kingdom, and the entire Edo North community, acknowledging the irreplaceable void left by her departure.
