Former Minority Whip of the House of Representatives and Chairman African Bar Association, (Nigerian Forum) has commended former President Mohammadu Buhari and former Minister of Aviation Senator Hadi Sirika for renaming Benin Airport as Oba Akenzua 11 Airport in recognition of the contributions of the Benin Monarchy to the social, economic, cultural, political and historical advancement of the Benin nation and Nigeria.
The gesture, according to the erudite Lawyer, was significant in keeping with the tradition of acknowledging the immense contributions of the Benin Monarchy and its prime place in the historical evolution of Nigeria.
Hon. Osagie urged the new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to consider expanding the Oba Akenzua Airport and making it an International Airport.
He urged Edo People to reciprocate the gesture of the federal government by helping to protect the infrastructures meant for the common good.
