“Teni n Teni”, a political organization working for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to urgently end the lingering fuel crisis in the country and install orderliness in the financial sector of the economy by making the new naira notes available to Nigerians.

Otunba Rasak Isijola, the coordinator of the group in Ondo State, rising from a meeting of stakeholders of the group, made this request to the federal government as an assignment to be handled with national urgency.

The leadership of the group said it was very concerned about the state of the nation and the likely bandwagon effects this situation might have on their candidate as a member of the ruling party.

Otunba Isijola wondered why the Central Bank of Nigeria would be redesigning the naira notes on the eve of an important national assignment of a presidential election that could not have come some years back into the life of this present administration, describing the development as appalling.

It also queried the lingering fuel shortages in the country as worrisome.

“President Muhammadu Buhari’s government had enjoyed a relatively stable balance in the oil sector ab initio, as the same government suddenly plunged into instability in at the twilight of the administration in a sector it has relatively stabilised over the years.

“The fifth columnist is the one responsible for the crisis in the oil sector. President Muhammadu Buhari must not be allowed such people to destroy the legacy he has assiduously worked for over seven and a half years and be carted away with this unwholesome crisis that is bedeviling the nation with wanton destruction of the entire economy of the country” Otunba Rasak Isijola said while reiterating his opposition to the lingering oil crisis.

Accordingly, the coordinator of Teni ‘n’Teni political organization therefore charged the president to “restore sanity in Nigeria’s polity as we head into the February 25th, 2023 elections by ending both crises within seven days to avoid the anger of the Nigerian masses who are most affected by the shortage of liquid cash in the economy and the ongoing energy crisis.”

Otunba Isijola also took the opportunity to appeal to the Nigerian electorate to be resolute in their support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition and not use the ongoing crisis which is the deliberate action of some unpatriotic people to sabotage the country and target the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the coming election.

“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a member of the ruling party but has never been part of government decisions taken since the inception of the current administration in 2016 and should never be judged with the ongoing crisis as he has also voiced his opposition to the fuel scarcity and the new naira note timing redesign,” Otunba Rasak Isijola stated.
