National Vice Chairman (South-South) of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Osi Orbih has declared his opposition to dissolution and subsequent harmonization of the party structure in Edo State.
He made the declaration on Friday in Uromi, hometown of the party’s late National Leader, Chief Tony Anenih.
Read Orbih: “As the National Vice Chairman of PDP in Nigeria, I swore and took an Oath to protect and stand by the Constitution of PDP.
“Therefore, I am against dissolution, harmonization or any form of removal of our elected party officials who were elected during the State Congresses in 2020.”
He reportedly chose to speak for the first time on the crisis rocking Edo State PDP since last year in the heart of Uromi, the hometown of the late National Leader, Chief Tony Anenih.
He spoke against the backdrop of the crisis rocking Edo State chapter of the party due to Governor Godwin Obaseki’s planned dissolution of the party leadership structure and harmonization to accommodate his cronies who defected with him from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Orbih was upbeat while speaking on the issue for the first time in Uromi.
He was addressing the Edo Central Senetorial Executives, State Exco Officials from Edo Central, All Edo Central LGA Chairmen, Ward Chairmen and their Executives during their New Year Party hosted by the Senetorial Chairman, Arc Bishop Anthony Okosun in Uromi Land.
