A security guru and Coordinator of Oodua Peoples’ Congress, OPC, in Osun state, Chief AbdulWaheed Adeleke Akintayo ( a.k.a. Olojongbudu) has called on the Yoruba race to continue to speak with one voice against the rising insecurity in the land.

Olojongbudu while speaking with journalists in Osogbo, on Monday, said the incessant kidnapping and killings by the Fulani herdmen in the southwestern region were alarming, saying unanimous decision had to be taken by the Yoruba.

The OPC leader said the Yoruba race would not continue to fold its arms and wait to be wiped out of its fatherland by foreign elements called herdsmen.

He described Yoruba as a peace-loving people with a great reputation for extending hospitality to visitors in order to produce mutually beneficial advantages.

He commended the bold steps of the Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho and Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu in dealing with the herdsmen.

He commended the bold step taken by Igboho to chase away the herdsmen in Igangan town, Ibarapa Local Government Area of Oyo state, saying other Yoruba activist should follow suit in protecting the region from the hands of the kidnappers and herdsmen.
