Former Minister of Works, Dr Arc. Mike Onolememen, CON, has congratulated the newly-elected chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu, and his team on their emergence at party’s national convention held on Saturday through Sunday in Abuja.
Onolememe also congratulated PDP faithful across Nigeria on the smooth conduct of the 2021 National Convention.
In a personal statement reportedly published on Truthlive.net, the party chieftain and leader from Edo Central Senatorial zone expressed his appreciation for the job well done by all committees members whose efforts saw to the huge success recorded at the carnival-like convention.
According to him: “No one can discount the profound efforts by members of various committees put into the success of the just-concluded National Convention.
“I am glad to express the foresight and distinct coordination of the Party for a job well done.
“From the screening of aspirants vying for various positions to the voting itself, it was a very successful and impacting National Convention as we are all going to join hands to save and rescue the nation from the hands of APC.
“I want to congratulate my good friend and Chairman of the Convention Committee, my friend and brother, the Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Finitri who promised a good convention and delivered.
“I congratulate also the newly-elected executive that will drive the engine of the party for the next four years, especially the new Chairman, Prof. Ayorchia Ayu.
“Members of the National Executive Committee did a fantastic job through a series of meetings; they deserve my commendations.
“I especially want to appreciate the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, for successfully leading the Edo State delegates to the convention which showed unity, peace, and love in our state chapter of the party.
“In conclusion I say well done to the entire PDP family worldwide for their support as It is now our duty to come together to rescue Nigeria come 2023.
