Nollywood actor Abdul Salam Taofeek, popularly known as Tioruju Mondusi, says he discovered two of the five children he raised were not biologically his after his wife confessed during a divorce proceeding.
Speaking in an interview with _African A List_, the actor described how the crisis began while he was away on a film shoot and returned to find his nine-month-pregnant wife missing for three days.
“I travelled to a location, and when I got back, she wasn’t at home. One of my children told me she had not been around for three days,” Mondusi said.
He said he went to his mother-in-law’s house and saw a photograph of his wife with another man on the wall. When he confronted her, she admitted he was not the father of the unborn child.
“That led to a serious fight,” he said.
*CS consent signed by another man*
The situation worsened after the birth. Mondusi said he later learned that a different man had signed the consent form for his wife’s caesarean section.
“When she gave birth through a CS, I was told it was another man who signed the consent form. I had met the man before at my wife’s shop, but I didn’t know they were having an affair,” he said.
After the child was born, his wife called him to take responsibility. He refused, citing her earlier admission.
*Police, court, and final confession*
Mondusi said his wife later brought the baby to his home with the other man, prompting him to involve the police.
“At the police station, when she was asked who I was, she said I was the father of her children and that the other man was her husband,” he said.

Less than a month later, he received a divorce summons. It was in court, he said, that his wife confessed that only three of the five children were his.
“She said the first, second, and fourth children were mine, meaning I was not the father of the third and fifth. Meanwhile, I was the one taking care of the children, doing their naming ceremonies, and even burying their placentas,” he said.
*‘The pain is still with me’*
Mondusi said his wife passed away last year, but the experience still weighs on him.
“She died last year, and I still feel deeply pained whenever I remember the situation.”
