The cause of the outage had yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
WhatsApp, in a tweet on its Twitter account, said: “We’re working quickly to resolve connectivity issues with WhatsApp, and we’ll update you here as soon as possible.”
WhatsApp, owned by Meta, Facebook parent company, is the world’s top messaging app, with more than 2 billion users.
