WhatsApp suffered a serious outage on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, preventing users from sending or receiving messages on the platform.

The world’s most popular messaging app started having problems about 9 p.m.

The cause of the outage had yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

WhatsApp, in a tweet on its Twitter account, said: “We’re working quickly to resolve connectivity issues with WhatsApp, and we’ll update you here as soon as possible.”
