Women and youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Oluyole Federal Constituency of Oyo State have declared support for Alhaji Kehinde Olaosebikan ahead of the party’s primary for the House of Representatives seat.

The endorsement was made on Wednesday during the presentation of public address systems by Olaosebikan to APC members at the PBAT-KO Grassroots Movement office in Olomi, Ibadan.

APC Youth Leader for Oluyole LGA, Babatunde Yisau Lawal, and Woman Leader, Kikelomo Akinleye, speaking on behalf of leaders from the council’s 10 wards, said members would back Olaosebikan’s bid for the ticket.

Lawal said youths in the area appreciated Olaosebikan’s consistency and support over the years. “People like ‘Call me Kenny’ are not common in politics. We are ready to give him our full support in his aspiration and for other party candidates in 2027,” he said.

Akinleye said Olaosebikan had shown loyalty and commitment to the party since his time as Chief Press Secretary to former Governor Lam Adesina. “We have known him for about 18 years. He is an excellent party man, responsible, responsive, and caring. We believe he will make Oluyole better if he gets there,” she said.

Olaosebikan, a former chairman of Oluyole LGA and ex-Chief Press Secretary to Lam Adesina, said he was ready for any primary method adopted by the APC. He cited his long service to the party and loyalty to President Bola Tinubu as reasons he should be considered.

“The people of Oluyole deserve a voice that understands their needs and has the capacity to deliver,” he said. “I have remained consistently loyal to the APC without defection, even after losing primaries in 2019 and 2023.”

He served as Regional Coordinator for Media and Publicity for the Tinubu/Shettima campaign in the South West in 2023. Olaosebikan said it was his turn to represent Oluyole in the House of Representatives and urged party leaders to prioritize competence and track record in selecting the candidate.
