An industrialist and community leader in Ose local government of Ondo state, Eng. Bayo Oluyamo has congratulated Governor Lucky Ayedatiwa of Ondo state and advised him to set up an action committee of technocrats and professionals and never politicians, who would give genuine advice for good governance.
Eng. Oluyamo said implementation of the recommendations by the committee would guarantee a great improvement on the marvellous record of his predecessor, the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
In a press release signed by his media adviser, Gboyega Amoboye, he attributed the success of Ayedatiwa to his honesty of purpose, uniting the people and continuation with the late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s legacy.
He mentioned some of Akeredolu achievements that Ayedatiwa never abandoned as roads construction, across the state, education, health care, water, rural infrastructure and adequate funding of the three government owned Universities.
A core legacy of Akeredolu he said was provision of security and therefore advised Ayedatiwa never to relax on this but strengthen the Amotekun, which has made Ondo State safe.
He advocated for the creation of a Road Maintenance Agency for regular maintenance of existing roads along with new ones to reduce cost and ensure all year-round motorable roads.
To minimize hardship due to fuel deregulation, Engr. Oluyamo said public transportation system should be reinforced to provide welfare scheme for students and pensioners while education, agriculture, rural development, health care, especially health centres and maternity homes in every community should be priotised.
He said improvements on rural infrastructure, especially feeders roads would boost agriculture, especially cocoa and food crops.
According to him, Ondo State has what it takes to become an industrial giant with bitumen and abundance of lime stones for cement factory, paints, and glass industry.
