Following credible intelligence and mounted 24 hours surveillance, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Commandant General Special Intelligence Squad have arrested four suspects and impounded six tankers and two vehicles laden with illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil popularly called Diesel at Orobo village, Ofoni River Waterside, Patani Local Government Area of Delta State.
Confirming the report, Director Public Relations NSCDC NHQ, Abuja, DCC Olusola Odumosu said the oil tankers were intercepted while conveying large quantities of locally and illegally refined AGO in tankers and many cellophane bags packed in the two vehicles.
He said the six trucks exhibit have since been successfully evacuated and handed over to the Delta State Command for further investigation and prosecution.
