Office of Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has directed Directors of Human Resources Management in federal ministries, departments and parastatals to henceforth forward names of those due for retirement three months before their retirement date.
The circular, dated July 18, 2022, and marked HCSF/CMO/EMD/POD/428/11, stated that towards ensuring that due process was followed during retirement from service and in line with the provision PSR 100238, “Directors of Human Resources Management are to forward the names of the retiring officers to the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation three months before retirement.”
The circular, which advised strict compliance and signed by Dr Marcus Ogunbiyi, Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office, on behalf of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, also requested the Directors of Human Resources to indicate the state of indebtedness of the retiring officers in the notice of retirement.
