The President was said to have expressed satisfaction with the rancour-free procedures adopted in picking the candidate and urged the delegation to ensure total victory for the party at the 2027 general elections

Former governorship aspirants included, among others, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Ishola, Dr Jelili Kayode Amusan, Prof Iyabo Obasanjo-Bello, Hon Gboyega Nasir Isiaka and Hon Isaq Abiodun Akinlade.
