Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, escaped death, on Wednesday, when a section of his office in the state high court complex collapsed on him.
Justice Adeyeye is said to be receiving medical attention at an undisclosed hospital in the state.
Reports said that the incident happened around close of work on Wednesday.
The judge was still in his chamber at the time of the collapse.
The incident might not be unconnected with structural deficit, which was worsened by the torrential rainfall.
No life was lost in the collapse, but the Chief Judge reportedly sustained serious injury.
Workers reportedly mobilised one smother to rescue the judge from the rubble.
A visit to the Registrar’s office to get further details did not yield result.
The Registrar was not readily available. Journalists were asked to return later for a chat.
