The Obi-Datti Media Campaign office has dismissed falsehood in circulation that the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, said in his outing in Kaduna state, on Monday, that he had lifted 439 million Nigerians out of poverty.

In a statement, the Obi-Datti Media Office said the falsehood should not have merited any response given the mischief in it, but for gullible Nigerians who had even been responding to such mindless lies.

“Nigerian population is presently estimated to be slightly above 200m which the LP standard bearer has used severally in his statements and would not have for any reason given such figure about Nigeria.

“Those who bothered to watch the audiovisual of that outing know that Obi’s use of such figure was in reference to China lifting their population out of poverty,” the statement read.

The Media office further stated that it was not oblivious of the poor outing of opponents in the Kaduna event where the LP standard bearer had an excellent performance as usual, enough to attract envy from the underperforming rivals.

The Obi-Datti Media Office reiterated that figures used by Obi to buttress his points were out of indepth research work and were verifiable.

“Again, we enjoin those yet to embrace the Obidient Movement’s laudable mission of taking back our country to do so immediately and be part of the huge history in making,” the statement added.
