The clan head of South East Uneme in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo state, HRH Chief Benjamin Ikani, has been dethroned as Oliola of Uzanu Clan of South Uneme with immediate Effect.
A report by Aledeh cited a letter to that effect, which was signed by the Secretary to State Government, Osarodion Ogie.
Chief Benjamin was accused by the state government of incessant and flagrant disregard to peace agreement and government’s directive to maintain peace In Uzanu Community and its environs.
The letter reads: “Edo State Governor, Mr Godwin Noghegahse Obaseki has approved the revocation of the clan of south east uneme in etsako East local government area.
“Edo state government has also withdrawn the appointment of Hon. Benjamin Ikani as the Oliola of Uzanu clan of South East uneme with immediate effect.
“The state government action is predicated on the incessant and flagrant disregard to peace agreement and government directive to maintain peace in Uzanu community and it’s environs by the Oliola.”
