A former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Thursday, took the Muhammadu Buhari administration to the cleaners, according toba report by Freedom Online.
Obasanjo said that Nigeria, created by God to be flowing with milk and honey, was now flowing with bitterness and sadness.
Speaking at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while being presented with a book, “The Man, The General and The President,” by the author, Femmy Carrena, the former military Head of State from February 13, 1976 to September 30, 1979 and civilian president from May 29, 1999 to May 29, 2007, blamed bad leadership for the crises in the country.
Popularly known as Ebora Owu and Baba Iyabo, he said: “My prayer is that all of us will have something to contribute to making this country what God has created it to be – a land flowing with milk and honey.
“Right now, it is a land flowing with bitterness and sadness; that is not what God wants this country to be.
“We must change the narrative; we must talk to ourselves in the civilised language.
“There is nowhere you go in this country that you will not see geniuses in any section of the country. So, why should we look down on ourselves?”
