The Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT Council, partnered with Adobe and Lifestyle Hues to train 100 journalists on digital storytelling and multimedia content creation.
The one-day workshop held Monday focused on using Adobe Express and other digital tools to improve storytelling, content creation, and multimedia presentation for journalists from public and private media organisations in the FCT.
Council Chairman Grace Ike said the training was part of efforts to keep members competitive and relevant as the media industry evolves. She noted that designing visuals, editing multimedia content, and presenting stories in engaging formats are now core skills for journalists.
Training facilitator Ayodotun Akinfenwa said tools like Adobe Express help journalists work more independently and boost online visibility. She urged media owners to invest more in training journalists on digital communication, artificial intelligence tools, and content publishing technologies.
Participants described the workshop as timely and called for more regular training to improve professional skills in Nigerian journalism.
